Can you tell the difference between human and machine generated art?

Themes: artificial intelligence, art, creative expression, & the Turing Test

Background

The Turing Test, developed by Alan Turing in 1950, is a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) has come a long way in the field of art generation. In 2018 an artwork created by a machine sold for $432,500 at Christie's.  This was the first piece of AI-generated art that was sold at an auction house.

Project

Working as a class stage an art exhibition where you show a mix of machine generated art and human created art.  Have your art patrons take part in a Turing Test of your design to see if they can tell the difference between art created by humans and machines.   Your exhibit can be in person or online.
