What do I want to share with the world?

Themes: website building & portfolios

Background

A portfolio is a collection of person's work that demonstrates their skills and shows off their unique perspective and personality.

School portfolios can be used to show how a student's work has progressed over time.  For example, wouldn't it be fun to see how a student's writing matured from kindergarten through high school?  In the workplace portfolios are a powerful tool that can be shared with potential employers and clients.

When constructing a portfolio, you should consider the purpose of each item, so that you can show different skills.

Project

Create a website about yourself that includes a portfolio of the things you've done that you would like others to see.

Think about the things that you're passionate about or enjoy doing and find the best way to capture it on your site (text, graphics, audio, and/or video).

Portfolios can be used to show off traditional school-related work such as writing samples, art work, STEM projects, as well as your hobbies.  For instance, if you like LEGO bricks then include pictures of your LEGO sculptures in your portfolio.  If you consider yourself a dog whisperer then add videos of you training dogs.
