Time for Talent

What can time and talent buy your classroom?

Themes: fundraising, auctions, project management, & Scrum processes

Background

In product development Scrum processes are frequently used to plan, track, and adjust work as the project moves to completion.

One of the Scrum premises is that we don't know what we don't know.  People aren't perfect estimators of how long it takes to do a task and there are always things that come up that we didn't know to plan for.

Scrum prepares us for these situations by teaching teams to self organize, break down work into estimable tasks, track the completion of work, and adapt to change.

Project

Work together as a class to plan and execute an event that trades your class or school's talents for the time or talents of community members using Scrum methods to manage your tasks.

This project will require you to form into committees that will be responsible for the success of a part of the project, such as acquiring items to be auctioned, auction logistics, and event communications.
